Success at NZ Masters Nationals

The Taupō Rowing Club had some fantastic results at the New Zealand Masters National Championship! This is the first time in recent memory that the club attended this important regatta.

The crew secured multiple medals, including a silver in the mixed composite 8+ G-M with Denise Duffy (cox), Melissa Cameron, Hugh Monro, Tony Smeaton, and Bjarne Larson. Denise and Melissa also grabbed silver in the North Shore women’s 8+ in a competitive D field. Bjarne earned silver in the "I" single scull, while Melissa won bronze in the E mixed double with Dave Derecourt from Tauranga. TRC got a bronze in the H-M Men's double with Bjarne and Tony cranking it out. Also a bronze was had in the F quad with Hugh, Tony and tin a composite with Tauranga.
